This is the new album “Inheritance” by Ian Ashford & the Solidarity Band. This project was a collaboration between Irish and French musicians during the lockdown in 2020.
Ashford says “We wanted to be free and with no particular genre in mind. Our will to create a new album and put to good use our suffering during this time helped us to create something worthwhile.
Our album ‘Inheritance” tries to understand ways to deal with the invisible Inheritance of suffering that tumbles down through the generations and resides within all of us.”
Ian Ashford worked at distance with Bastien Choukroun, Simon McCourt and Arthur Duburq to create this album due to lock down restrictions and living in different parts of the world.
